Veggie Pizzas & PB Cocoa Banana Smoothies

Let's make pizza! Well, delicious, vegetarian pizzas to get in a dose of veggies, too! This is a great recipe to transition from traditional American foods to a more veggie filled meal. The veggie details: Tomatoes provide lycopene (a carotenoid), antioxidants, and bone health. Mushrooms are known to be anti-cancer! Spinach contains fiber, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and flavonoids, all of which help prevents cancer, control blood pressure, protect your eyes, boost your immune system, and keeps your skin healthy. Sounds pretty good to me and tastes even better! So make this amazing recipe for lunch or dinner!

Veggie Pizzas
- Garlic, Herb Naan flatbread
- Grape Tomatoes (sliced in half and pressed to flatbread)
- Shiitake Mushrooms
- Spinach, Basil, or other green
- Feta
- Balsamic Vinegar

Prepare pizza with everything but the feta and balsamic vinegar and place in a warm oven for a few minutes to warm. Then, sprinkle with feta, drizzle with balsamic vinegar, and enjoy! Bon Appetit!

If you are still hungry for dessert, go with a simple PB Cocoa Banana Smoothie!

For two,
- 4 bananas
- 2 tbsps. almond butter
- 2 tbsps. cocoa
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 cup water and ice

Throw in the Vitamix, blend, and enjoy a creamy, light brown beautiful smoothie for any meal.

PB Cocoa Banana Smoothie!

This smoothie is great for you. Cocoa flavanols, a phytonutrient from the cocoa bean, have been shown to help you keep a healthy blood circulation. See Mars' Cocoa Via research at their website. I like the almond butter for some protein. Finally, my favorite part is the bananas, which have so many benefits... Check out Fully Raw's Top 10 Reasons to Love Bananas!

With bananas around, there is no reason to complain that you had to stop for fast food. What's faster than peeling a banana? So take one on the road for a healthy snack. Have a few more minutes, throw some smoothie ingredients in your blender, blend, and put in a jar to go! It's super quick, super healthy, super nutritious (if you use the right ingredients), and super energizing! Prefer a sandwich? Well, make a peanut butter banana sandwich and take in a bag for later! Yum!

Hope this encourages you to make some healthier recipes that you can still enjoy!
Cheers to health!
